Fun With Carpet Tiles – 2
May 24, 2013
I posted on Wednesday about some of the fun ways I found to use carpet tiles, or carpet squares. Today I’ll be posting the nitty-gritty details like where to find each type of tile and what the average costs are. So let’s get started.
Adhesive carpet tiles (peel and no-glue):
These are some of the least expensive tiles. They come in a variety of sizes and qualities. I would not lay these tiles over a floor that you plan to use, uncovered, in the future unless you are prepared for the painstaking process of removing the adhesive left on the floor. Being open to using peel and stick tiles, or those requiring a floor glue really opens up the variety of choices, so this could be a great option for those with subfloors that can be soiled.
Caldwell Carpet ($0.49 to $5.29/sf)
The Home Depot ($0.99 to $4.40/sf)
Georgia Carpet ($1.30 to 2.50/sf)
These carpet tiles tend to be more expensive as they are made specifically to lay on your floor without the need for special glues or tapes. That means they have specifically designed backings and materials to help them stay in place, sometimes combined with stickers or tacks that go between each tile, but not on the subfloor.

Flor ($5.21 – $10.00/sf)
Every person has their own unique style and every home has its limitations or possibilities, depending on how you look at it. Carpet tiles can add color to any space and be used in creative and fun ways. To let your inner designer free to go wild, at least in one small area of your home!
And carpet tiles can also be cleaned professionally when the time comes. So give Aaron’s Quality Cleaners a call for any flooring or upholstery needs you may have. After all, we are the best carpet cleaner in Fresno and Clovis and we would love to have you as one of our fabulous customers.
